Black and White Wedding

Brienne and Josh's wedding was a really beautiful formal affair!  It was almost solely black and white, with just a hint of light blue added into the mix with some flowers and some little touches here and there.  Again, I forgot to take photos of the bouquets, so hopefully I can get some professional ones very soon!  The bride's and the bridesmaids' bouquets were all different shades of white and ivory.  We used peonies and garden roses in the bridal bouquet and then white roses, spray roses, football mums, stock, lisianthus, and mini-carnations in the bridesmaids' bouquets.  Can't wait to share the photos!

The ceremony was held at the Shepherd of the Lake Church in Prior Lake.  They had a beautiful stone background up behind the altar and a really beautiful church for their ceremony.  The reception was held at The Legends Golf Club in Prior Lake.  I hadn't been there before, but I really loved it!  It had all warm lighting and woodwork.  It was dark and more formal looking.  Brienne had black tablecloths with a damask table runner, which really added a lot!  Then there were black napkins used.  We had three different centerpieces - one was a small oval vase filled with the different white flowers used in the bouquets, with light blue stones, one was three cylinder vases with light blue ribbon around the base and light blue and white stones with dendrobiums and floating candles, and the tall centerpiece turned out to be something I just loved!  We spray painted curly willow black and added in white and bright blue delphinium, with black ribbon around the top of the pillsner vase and white, clear, and light blue stones.  I think that touch of blue in the flowers really stood out amongst the black and white.

Here are some of my photos...

For the reception, we had minimal flowers, but they added a nice touch.  For the altar, we used baby's breath in Brienne's black ceramic vases and for the chairs, we used just three stems of white stock wrapped in black and light blue ribbon on every fourth row of seats.

For the reception, here is a view of the small oval vase design with stock, roses, spray roses, mini-carnations, and football mums.    You can see the light blue stones and the pretty damask table runner.

Here is a view of the head table.  We lined the edge of the table with the white rose petals, a couple of bud vases with mini-larkspur stems, and globe votives.  The bouquets would be placed in vases along the table later on.

Here is one of the bud vases with white larkspur and larkspur buds.

Here is a a photo with the dendrobium orchids, floating candles, and globe votives.  You can see the touches of the damask table number and the fun cupcakes that each guest was given.

Here are the tall arrangements of the black curly willow with white and blue delphinium.

Here is her cake, which we just added some petals and votives to...loved her cake to go along with all the damask and black and white.

My thanks to Brienne for coming in with such a great plan for me to run with.  I love the final look of everything!!  I had a wonderful time working with you and your family!
