Vanessa and Dirk

Vanessa and Dirk had a beautiful, elegant wedding of mostly whites, ivories, and a touch of green.  They were married at their family lake home and then had a reception at Buckstone in Burnsville (on Buck Hill).  I had so much fun working with Vanessa and Dirk - they were both really involved in the flowers and added a lot to the whole process.

I am looking forward to showing you the professional photos, but in the meantime, here are a few that I took that day.

This is the arch that we made with ivy, grapevine, dendrobium orchids, white wax flower, and white dahlias.  They had the perfect path from the house that made the aisle.  We added white rose petals to the sides of the aisle.

On the chairs along the aisle, we had white mini-callas and ribbon.

At the reception hall, we had a couple of arrangements of hydrangea and curly willow and wound some ivy, grapevine, waxflower, and green hypericum berries around the bannister.  There was a guestbook table at the entryway that we added a small vase of flowers to as well.

There was a bar area that we added some floating fuji mums with lily grass and clear stones to the tables.  There was a candy bar there as well.

The reception tables we had a couple of different kinds of centerpieces.  We had vases with white tulips on some of the tables...I love this look - really clean, simple, and elegant.

Then on some of the other tables, we had square vases with mixes of whites and greens.  For the small head tables, we had a mix of three different centerpieces.

More to come on this wedding from the professionals!  Can't wait for you to see the bouquets and flower girl kissing balls!

Corinne and Greg

Corinne was so great to me!  She and her husband Greg have a wonderful linen company called www.memorymakersdecor.com.  You can see some of her work throughout my blog posts.  She did the linens and ceiling hangings, chair covers, etc., for several of the weddings I was a part of last year.  She (and her company) do a wonderful job.  They also offer a fun guestbook where they take photos of your guests as they come in and let the guests fill out a note for the bride and groom and it all gets put in a scrapbook for you to keep.  Check them out!

Corinne wanted all greens and whites for her flowers.  The main flower we focused on was the green cymbidium orchid.  I didn't have the opportunity to take my own photos and Corinne was nice enough to send me some that I could share.

Here are a couple of pics of the bridal bouquet - We used the cymbidiums, white roses, and lily grass.  We added some crystals as well.

For the church, we had hanging hydrangeas on green ribbon, as well as two altar arrangements in some pretty candle holders that Corinne provided.  We used white and green hydrangeas, white and green roses, green spider mums, larkspur, lisianthus, and ferns.

For the reception we had different arrangements.  We had some tables with tall vases with black twigs and black stones, cymbidiums, mini-cymbidiums, hydrangea, and hanging amaranthus.  Then we had another table that had three square vases with mixes of greens and whites, as well as some fern shoots.

Thanks so much, Corinne and Greg for letting us be part of your wedding day!

Annie and Grant - Pro Pics

Annie and Grant were awesome to work with!  Annie had a great plan from the start with so many fun fall colors and I just tried to make her ideas come to life.  Annie has been so sweet and gracious and I am so happy I got to be part of her and Grant's wedding day.

Karin from DnK photography sent me some wonderful photos she took on Grant and Annie's wedding day.  Check out her website at www.dnkphotography.com.  She does some really beautiful work!!

Here is Annie's bridal bouquet.  We used red roses, orange mini-callas, a couple of kinds of yellow mums, dark purple carnations, and hypericum berries for the main bouquet.  We added some remembrance flowers on the side closest to Annie, which included some favorite flowers of her loved ones.  I thought it was a beautiful way (that Annie came up with) to keep thoughts of them close with her on her wedding day. (the special flowers included a black magic rose, white carnation, white rose, and yellow rose).  You can see them below with their beautiful rings.

Here is a really nice photo of Annie and her dad ready to walk down the aisle.

We did different bouts for the groom, the groomsmen, the ushers, and others, but here are a couple of examples.

Here are some more photos with the wedding party, as well as one of just the bouquets.  Love the beautiful fall scenery!!

And finally, here are a couple of beautiful photos of the happy couple.  Thanks again Annie and Grant!!
