Katie and Brian - Pro Pics

Katie and Brian were another of my earliest clients and they were so great to me!  They referred some other couples to me and I'm forever grateful!  They were dream clients...so easygoing and friendly.  When we talked, it felt like I'd known them forever.  Besides doing their flowers, I helped with the set up of the linens and all the beautiful touches Katie did on her own. All the little details really added to the day!  And they were the only bride and groom I've seen who've had dueling pianos as their musical entertainment.  When I went to do cleanup at the end of the evening, I got to see them perform and they were really entertaining!

The guys from Snap.Grin Photography did all the amazing photos!  I've mentioned them before, but they really do a great job!  Please check out their website...www.snapgrinphotography.com

The ceremony and reception was all held at Stonebrooke Golf Course, in Shakopee.  It's a really beautiful venue and Deb and the rest of the staff there are fantastic to work with!  So helpful and accommodating!

For the flowers, Katie and Brian really wanted to incorporate the sunflowers, gerbera daisies, and billy balls (craspedia).  We focused mainly on yellow, orange and green.

Here are some photos that include the bouquets...Katie had a mix of mango mini-callas, light centered mini-sunflowers, white mini-gerbera daisies, billy balls, yellow mini-gerbs, green button poms, white wax flower, and variegated pittosporum.  The bridesmaids didn't have any white or mini-callas. They had some yellow roses and some orange mini-gerbs.

For the bouts, we used a mango mini-calla for Brian, and the billy balls for the groomsmen.  The corsages were mixes of spray roses in yellow and orange.

The flower girl had a kissing ball of green buttom poms and white pearl pin accents.

Here are some of the centerpieces and head table...as well as other accents throughout the venue.

Some ceremony photos - we sprinkled white and yellow petals in the ceremony area.  We also added some sunflowers on green ribbon to drape over the chairs along the aisle.  Such a beautiful ceremony!  and how fashionable and fun is Katie with her yellow heels?!

Other details and photos I love!

So much love and thanks to you both!

Preslicka Studios Art Show

Hi Everyone...

Scott County had an Art Crawl recently - where people can go from studio to studio to see different artists in the area.  I was lucky enough to be able to provide some flowers for a showing at Preslicka Studios.  Greg Preslicka does beautiful scenic paintings, as well as has a company called The Big Picture, where he does incredible murals for businesses and residences.  Please check out his websites!!

I just added a touch of some purple and blue wildflowers, as well as some yellow flowers to add a little bit of color.  Here are some photos that include some of his artwork...

Jennifer and Tommy

Jennifer and Tommy have been SO much fun to work with!  They were my very first clients, other than some family and friends, and they've trusted me since they came to my "shop" when it was a commercial sink that wasn't connected to anything and a table and some folding chairs.  I still can't believe they actually put their faith in me!  ha!  I can't ever tell them how much I appreciate it!

Here's a sampling of some of my pics...can't wait for the professional ones!

Here are the bridal and bridesmaids' bouquets...circus roses, mango mini-callas and red hypericum berries for the bridesmaids and vendela ivory roses and white mini-callas and green hypericum for the bride.  We also added Jennifer's grandmother's rosary to her bouquet.  It was her "something blue".

The groom's bout and the groomsmen's bout, and a corsage...

The church arrangements were made of memorial flowers (purple gladiolus, purple hyacinth, yellow roses), and then we added some of the circus roses and some greens to combine it with the wedding flowers.  The church was Advent Lutheran Church in Maple Grove - it was really beautiful!

Here are a couple of photos of the cake.  The reception was held at Summit Manor in St. Paul...another beautiful venue!
