St. Paul Landmark Center Wedding

I had lots of fun doing Debbie and Josh's wedding!  Debbie had lots of great plans and ideas to work with from the beginning and we incorporated a little bit of everything with their wedding.  They were going for a little bit of an old Hollywood kind of feel, so we had a few feathers, a little bit of bling, and lots of vibrant purples and greens.  We took a few photos to share.  Enjoy!

Unfortunately the photos, again, do not do the venues justice.  We were only able to take a few photos of things before everything was set up, so it looks pretty incomplete.  More photos when the professionals get done.

Here are a few of the church.  This is St. Stanislaus in St. Paul.  It is a beautiful old Catholic church that doesn't need a lot of embellishment.  We just added some white hydrangea on some sparkly purple ribbon to the aisles.  These were then re-purposed on the cocktail tables at the Landmark with some floating candles and bling.

Here are a couple of photos of the bouquets.  The bride had a mix of green cymbidium orchids, dark purple mini-callas, and picasso mini-callas.  The bridesmaids had green cymbidiums and dark purple mini-callas and were a bit smaller.  We added some bling wrap to the tops and crystal pins.

We did four different arrangements.  One was a stem of green cymbidiums submerged with a floating candle, along with some floating candles and votives.

Another was three mini-callas in a square vase - two picassos and 1 dark purple, some floating candles, and some votives.

The third was a large spray of dendrobium orchids and feathers on an eiffel tower vase.

and the fourth was a large pomander ball with bits of small feathers on top of a pilsner vase with bling ribbon at the top and crystals floating in water in the base.

We added some other little touches of extra floating candles and orchids on the different tables.  This is the placecard table (before the placecards were set out).

This was the cake table before the cake got there...just a small mix of ruscus and dendrobium orchid stem to be placed around the cake.

I can't wait for you to see the entire venue!  When we went back to do our takedown at the end of the evening, it was soooo beautiful with all the candlelight.  I'll share more later!

Mill City Museum Wedding

I was recently lucky enough to be part of Robyn's and Billy's beautiful yellow and gray, modern wedding.  I loved the color combination of the dark gray bridesmaid's dresses and the bright yellow flowers.  The Mill City Museum was a beautiful, modern venue  that impressed me in so many ways!  I know that they will have incredible wedding photos!  So many places for a great photo there.  Every little area of the museum has interesting architecture and stone and wood...really a beautiful venue!

I only have a few photos at this time for you to check out, but will add more once I get some of the professional ones.

Here is a look at the main room with the tables set up.  The mix of wood, metal, and stone is awesome!  The long table to the left is the head table.  It was in the middle of the room with the wedding party sitting all around the table.

I wasn't able to get photos of the bouquets, except for the toss bouquet, which is pictured below.  It's a mix of the same flowers used in the other bouquets - billy balls, roses, ranunculus, mini-callas, dusty miller, and freesia.

We used square vases with floating fuji mums in yellow and white for the high top cocktail tables.

The bride had gray and white damask table runners and we added gray/silver ribbon around the top of the vases of submerged oncidium orchids.  They were a really vibrant beautiful shade of yellow/gold.  They were used on a third of the tables.

Here they are as a work in progress...

Here is one on the table set up.

Here is one of the smaller centerpieces, which was just a mix of the yellow flowers with dusty miller around the base.

and the third centerpiece was a large ball of white hydrangea with billy balls added in for a touch of yellow.  We had these on a cylinder vase with silver ribbon and crystal garland hanging in the vase.

For the ceremony, we did four large, tall cylinder vases with gray ribbon filled with curly willow and oncidium orchids.

More to come with the professional photos - thanks Robyn and Billy!  :)  Oh...and I have to say you had the best guest "favor" I've seen at a wedding so far!

Berwood Hill Inn Wedding

I was lucky enough to recently do the flowers for Emily and Nik's bed and breakfast wedding!  They had a beautiful setting at the Berwood Hill Inn in Lanesboro, MN, an incredibly perfect day, and the most wonderful little DIY touches that Emily and her bridesmaid's and friends provided.  Emily had a great vision from the start and I was just happy to go along for the ride.  The venue was really beautiful, as you'll be able to see from the photos.  I only have limited ones at this time, but I know the professional photos will be incredible! Here's a sneak peek...

Emily wanted white as a base for her flowers and then pops of reds, yellows, and oranges.  We did a mix of several different flowers in both her bouquet and the bridesmaids' bouquets.  We wrapped them in burlap, lace, and twine and then the bridal bouquet had her something blue - a rosary that belonged to her grandmother - attached to her bridal bouquet.  Unfortunately I don't have great photos of any of these, but I'll share what I have.  More to come!

We did mixes of white stock, dahlias, football mums, roses, spray roses, aster, delphinium, veronica, and lisianthus.   Then we added pops of color with spray roses, circus roses, ranunculus, dahlias, wax flower, and billy balls.  The greens were variegated pittosporum and greens from the delphinium, dahilas, lisianthus, etc.

The ceremony space was in a lovely open part of the gardens in the back of the house.  They had lush gardens with lots of green and white hydrangeas at the front of the ceremony space, and then there was an arch/trellis that had all kinds of greenery.  That led to an opening where you could go into the gardens further.  They had a table set up for some remembrance flowers and a vow box they had personalized for the ceremony.  We made two arrangements for the sides of the altar area.  These were made mainly with a mix of the flowers we used in the bouquets.  We sprinkled the aisles with red, circus, yellow, and white petals.

For the reception area, the bride made burlap table runners and rustic looking table numbers, and we added mixes of wooden boxes, different jars, bottles, vases, votives, floating candles, etc,.  The bride and some of her bridesmaids and mom came to my shop and we worked together to add some lace and burlap and raffia to some of the different bottles and vases.  The idea was just to get a little bit different look on each table.  We just did a mix of colors and flower types throughout the venue.  The bride also made some awesome cloth napkins in varying patterns to add a touch of color and uniqueness to each table.

Most of the tables were in a renovated chicken coop with twinkle lights hanging above, but that room opened up onto a nice covered deck where the sweetheart table and family tables were located.  On each of these tables, we had large jars with stones for the bridesmaids' and bridal bouquets.

Here are just some more shots of the area...and some of the other details the bride made.  She even had outdoor lawn games for the guests, as well as some cute kids tables outside with games for them as well.

What a beautiful place for a wedding weekend!  Can't wait for the professional photos :)
