Minikahda Club Wedding

I have another sneak peek of a wedding I recently did.  I was so lucky to have worked with Thuy and Kyle on their beautiful wedding!  They wanted some really unique looks for their bouquets/bouts/etc.  I was in a rush that day and only got a few pics, but wanted to share the ones I had.  Will hopefully have lots more to share of the professional photos!

The ceremony was in the beautiful chapel on St. Kate's campus...absolutely beautiful church!  We did very minimal flowers there with just submerged purple orchids in three staggered vases on each side of the altar.  The church had more than enough beauty already without a lot of flowers needed.

The reception was held at the posh Minikahda Club.  With some of the fall leaves still on the trees and lots of windows, the scenery out the windows, as well as the reflecting candlelight was beautiful.  I can never say it enough - always double the amount of candles you think you want!  It makes for such a warm, romantic atmosphere.  There were also fireplaces, lounge areas, a cocktail area, etc, for the guests to use.

For the bridal bouquet, as well as the bridesmaid's bouquets, it was all about texture!  We tried to add lots of different types of flowers and fillers to add to the different textures of the bouquets.  The bridal bouquet was all white with some of the flowers being hydrangea, mini-callas, dahlias, garden roses, roses, spray roses, lisianthus, queen anne's lace, peris buds, seeded eucalyptus in different shades, stock, trachellium, and ranunculus.  There were also some greens added around the base.

The bridesmaid's bouquets were all a bit different and had mainly the antique purple and green hydrangea, light pink and white spray roses, purple stock, queen anne's lace, purple and green trachellium, white lisianthus and ranunculus, some seeded eucalyptus in green and purple, some dusty miller, as well as greens like ruscus, myrtle, and boxwood.

The bout for the groom was salal, snowberries, green trachellium, and seeded eucalyptus and the groomsmen were silver brunia, salal, and dusty miller.  Some of the corsages were white mini-callas with some snowberries, trachellium and peris buds, as well as some ribbon.  All of them were a bit different.

I don't have any reception photos at this time, but I'll post them when I get some.  I was really happy with the way everything turned out - lots of hydrangea were used at the reception as well.

Thank you Thuy and Kyle SO much for allowing me to work with you on your wedding day - it was such a pleasure!
