Cobalt Blue and White Wedding

Channa came in with an amazing cobalt blue wine bottle that ended up being the focus of the decor.  We only had ten of them, so we found a cobalt blue vase to complement the wine bottles, as well as some beautiful blue delphinium, and that's what we ended up with for the tables.  The flowers were all white with just a touch of the blue delphinium here and there.  It was a beautiful clean and crisp looking reception!  I absolutely loved the way it turned out.  It was held at the beautiful Bayview Event Center, right on the water (in Excelsior)...so the blue and white theme went along with that perfectly!  It was perfect wedding weather as well, with a nice breeze blowing through the tent.  I cannot wait to share some professional photos, but for now, here's a sneak peek.

For the bridal bouquet, I used football mums and stock as the base with beautiful freesia, lisianthus, dendrobium orchids, and some bits of blue delphinium.

The bridesmaid's bouquets were all white with white satin wraps, as the girls wore cobalt blue gowns.  Most of the same flowers were used as in the bridal bouquet.

The ceremony was in a very beautiful church - Lord of Life Lutheran Church, in Maple Grove - LOVED the stained glass windows.  We just did two ceremony arrangements for the altar with some  white glads, white and blue delphinium, some white larkspur, and some curly willow.  These were then used at the reception venue and placed on each end of the head table.  Repurpose the flowers whenever possible!

For the reception, we did the three different centerpieces...the first was the beautiful wine bottle with three dendrobium stems and some lily grass.

The second one was a cobalt vase with white stock and some greens

The third was a tall cylinder vase with blue delphinium and floating candles

For the cocktail tables, we just had square vases with floating fuji mums

In this one you can see some of the blue draping in tent.  Loved it!

For the place card table, we added the toss bouquet and a couple of blue goblets that we filled with water and floating candles.  We also put some dendrobium heads around the table.

Little touches of bud vases were put where a little extra something was needed.

For the cake, we just added some votives and a touch of dendrobium heads and ruscus and a little bit of blue delphinium sprigs.
