Glamorous Wedding at St. Paul University Club - 340 Hotel

Alexis and Sean had a Great Gatsby style, old Hollywood glam themed wedding last October.  I was so happy to be a small part of such a beautiful day.  The reception was held at the St. Paul University Club in St. Paul, which was the perfect venue for their style.  They had classic tuxes with gold sparkly dresses, along with gold table linens and lots of gold accents throughout.  Alexis was such a beautiful bride - she really did look like a movie star.  Tiffany Kokal from Red Velvet Moments Photography took such beautiful photos...I'm happy to share some of them with you.  Please check her out on facebook or her website:  www.redvelvetmoments.com and www.facebook.com/redvelvetmomentsphotography.

I loved so many of her photos and it was super hard to decide what to include - bear with me - there are lots that I have included.

The first photo is just an awesome wedding party photo.  Absolutely just loved it and had to include it!

Here are a couple of the beautiful bride.  Her bouquet was made up of ivory Vendela roses and beautiful white mini-callas with a simple ivory wrap with pearl pins going all the way down the wrap.  Simple and elegant.  I think this is a perfect example of the bouquet enhancing the look of the bride and her style.

Here is the bride and her stunning bridesmaids...loved the sparkly gold dresses!  The bridesmaids had simple bouquets of hydrangea, blush colored roses and dusty miller.

and her adorable flower girls had bouquets of white hydrangea and blush colored spray roses.

A beautiful ceremony picture.  They were married at St. John's Episcopal Church.

Here's the whole gang

Now onto the reception at the 340 Hotel - St. Paul University Club.  These shots were taken from the balcony overlooking the ballroom.  You can see the gold linens and accents with the rest being all ivories and blushes.  The large harvest table in the center had all gold linens which really stood out and looked beautiful.  The first photo shows how everything looked before anyone got there and the second shows the candles lit and the people.  Also, all the bouquets were placed along the center of the harvest table to really add a lush floral feel to the table.

A couple more of the harvest table close up.

We had two arrangements on pedestal vases with phalaenopsis orchids, hydrangea, mums, roses, garden roses, and spray roses on each end of the harvest table, as well as a centerpiece for some of the other tables.

Some of the tables had tall vintage candelabras with a large floral "ball" of hydrangea, mums, roses, garden roses, spray roses, all in ivories and blushes.

The second type of centerpiece was the pedestal vase arrangement with the same florals, except we added the phalaenopsis orchids to them.

The third centerpiece were pedestal votives where we added some votives with hydrangea on each side.  We also added mercury glass votives, gold votives, and crystal votives throughout the venue.

Other touches...we added extra florals and gold votives on the placecard table, remembrance table, dessert and snack tables, guestbook table, etc.  Here are just a few pics.  The bride and her wedding party did an awesome job bringing in gold touches with gold frames, labels, etc.

All my best to the beautiful bride and groom...thanks for letting me share a part of your special day!

  1. The photographs are lovely. Those ivory Vendela roses were stunning! Maybe I should order some for my wedding. There is a nursery near the event halls for rent that I booked last week. They must have some of those beautiful roses I think. It would go perfectly with my wedding gown.

    1. Vendela roses are one of my favorites! They never disappoint! They are fairly commonly used, so they shouldn't be too hard to get! Congratulations on your upcoming wedding :)
