Pastel Spring Wedding

Last weekend I was lucky enough to work with Kiersten and Corey on their romantic garden-y pastel spring wedding.  Unfortunately, the weather wasn't too spring-like, but it didn't put a damper on a beautiful wedding day.  They got married at the new chapel at Hosanna Lutheran Church in Lakeville - a very modern, beautiful church.  Below are a few photos of the chapel.  Their reception was held at Royal Cliff in Eagan.  I have worked there several times and they are always so warm and hospitable there.  It's really a great group of people to work with and they have incredible food!

Here are some photos we took with our bad camera skills...gives you an idea until the professional photos come in.  :)

Here is the bridal bouquet  - a mix of white peonies, white "Patience" garden roses, my favorite peach "Juliet" garden roses, hydrangea, lisianthus, stock, seeded eucalyptus, and dusty miller.

And here are the bridesmaid's bouquets - a mix of different shades of peach and white - some peach osiana roses, cumbia roses, versilia roses, as well as some ilse spray roses in a coral color, white hydrangea, white wax flower, and dusty miller.

The ceremony was at the Hosanna Chapel in Lakeville.  Just opened up this month and I think this might have even been the first wedding in it.  It is a beautiful modern looking chapel with a lit up cross and stained glass windows with gray and beige tones.  Then there is a really gorgeous stone fountain over on the side.  Here are a few pics.  We kept it really simple with just some pillar candles in cylinder vases on a bed of clear, white, and peach colored stones, with large white polar star roses.  Very minimal, but just a little touch of their decor.  Can't wait to see the professional photos of the chapel!

For the reception, the bride had a terra cotta, peach, and mint green theme.  She had terra cotta chargers for the base of the centerpiece, then a mint green lantern sitting on top of that.  We added greens of tree fern, sea star fern, a touch of variegated pittosporum leaves, maidenhair fern and mini carnations in peach and white around the base.  We also added mercury glass and clear votives around the base.

We added some flowers to the cake as well - which was made by the bride's mom!

This shows the draping and lighting done in the room - I love draping!  I think it adds so much to the reception venues.  Illuminations did a great job with this draping.

For the outer area, we always like to add a few touches.  For Kiersten's guestbook table, she had an awesome idea of a wishing tree.  She had people write little notes and sign them and add them to the wishing tree.  Loved the idea!  We added some floating candles and flowers, as well as an extra lantern to the table.

For the placecard table, we added some more floating candles and touches of flowers.  There were also some other tables and areas that we added some lanterns and flowers to.

I loved the soft romantic feel of the flowers and who doesn't love pastels for spring weddings?!  Thanks to Kiersten and Corey for letting me part of the fun!  Also a big thanks to the bride's mom, who was so helpful and great to work with!
